This study examines the character of Jakoubek’s Czech exposition on Revelation (Výklad na Zjevenie), its significance in the context of the Bohemian Latin and Czech theological discourses, and its impact on later, mainly Latin, works. It also establishes that we are not dealing with a later translation, but that the Výklad was originally written in Czech. The comparative element is the Latin Expositio super Apocalypsim written by Nicholaus of Pelhřimov in cca 1429-1430, which was originally and significantly based on Jakoubek’s Výklad.
