La presente monografía aborda el estudio de la ética y la filosofía moral en la obra de Johannes Amos Comenius. Se trata de una versión reelaborada y ampliada de cuatro artículos originariamente publicados en alemán y checo, aquí traducidos al español de Lucas E. Misseri. En los mismos la autora analiza de manera entrelazada los siguientes problemas: el significado y el alcance del término “ética” en Comenio, el problema de la ética de Comenio dentro del contexto histórico e intelectual de su momento, la concepción de la ética dentro de la Consultatio catholica de Comenio, concretamente en Mundo moral, las relaciones de Comenio con la obra de Séneca para, finalmente, considerar los aspectos ético-teológicos de su irenismo. La monografía presenta de modo orgánico y sistemático por primera vez estos importantes temas a los especialistas hispanohablantes y a los lectores extranjeros. La monografía esta publicada como e-libro y va precedida, además, de un prólogo a cargo de Andrés L. Jaume, una introducción de Lucas E. Misseri y un apéndice bibliográfico de Adriana Bečková.

The monograph focuses on the topic of ethics and moral philosophy in the work of Johannes Amos Comenius. It consists of four chapters which are the reworked and enlarged versions of studies published originally in Czech and German, translated here into Spanish by Lucas E. Misseri. The author analyses several interconnected topics, such as the meaning and scope of the term “ethics” in Comenius’ works, his ethics in a broader historical and intellectual context, the concept of ethics in one of the parts of Comenius´ Consultatio catholica, namely Mundus moralis, the way Comenius used ethical teaching of Seneca, and finally the ethical and theological aspects of Comenius´ irenicism. The monograph presents for the first time in such a concise way these important topics to Spanish speaking specialists and broader readership. The monograph is published as an e-book and it includes the preface by Andrés L. Jaume, introduction by Lucas E. Misseri, and the bibliographical register by Adriana Bečková.
