Studie se zaměřuje na teoretické uchopení díla Vladislava Vančury dvěma předními českými teoretiky literatury, Janem Mukařovským a Lubomírem Doleželem. Tato uchopení, byť vyrůstají ze stejné výzkumné tradice a metodologie a svým způsobem na sebe navazují, jsou zároveň v rámci této tradice do jisté míry komplementární, což je způsobeno jak jejich vývojovým posunem, tak i subjektivními preferencemi. Studie obě tato pojetí analyzuje a kriticky srovnává, aby detailně upozornila na jejich podobnosti a odlišnosti.

The study focuses on the theoretical approaches to the work of Ladislav Vančura by two prominent Czech literary scholars, Jan Mukařovský and Lubomír Doležel. These approaches, in spite of the fact that they both grow from the same research tradition and methodology and therefore are substantially linked, are, at the same time, complementary within the framework of this tradition - this is caused by their developmental differences and also by the subjective preferences of both scholars. The study analyzes and critically compares both approaches in order to show their similarities and dissimilarities in detail.
