Cílem konference je ujasnění vztahu mezi filosofickou otázkou „konce života“ a otázkou „ukončení života“ ve smyslu eutanazie. V posledních dekádách se diskutovala otázka eutanazie z různých perspektiv, včetně etických, filosofických, klinických, právních, psychologických, náboženských, sociálních, ekonomických a politických. Diskuse a zveřejnění současných pohledů z různých zemí má přispět ke kritické debatě o daných záležitostech v etice a filosofii medicíny.
The aim of this event is to relate the philosophical questions of “end of life” and of “life ending”. During the last decades the issues of euthanasia have been extensively debated from various perspectives, including ethical, philosophical, clinical, legal, psychological, religious, social, economical, and political ones. Discussing and publication of contemporary views from different countries should contribute to a critical debate on the related issues in ethics and philosophy of medicine.
