Cílem práce je zmapovat hodnotové předpoklady pro etiku vědy v ČR, ustavené předchozím vývojem českého myšlení; ve druhé části publikace jsou shrnuty hlavní etické problémy v oblasti bioetiky. Toto spojení historicko-filosofických a bioetických otázek vyšlo z potřeb vzájemné kompatibility etiky výzkumu ve státech EU. Kolektivní monografie je jedním z výstupů grantového projektu 'Etika vědy v České republice: současný stav a jeho historické kořeny' (2008-2010).

The aim of the work is to give a survey of the value conditions for the ethics of science in the CR, established by the previous development of the Czech thought; the main ethical problems in the sphere of bioethics are included in the second part of the book. This connection of the historical and philosophical questions with the bioethical ones issues from the requirements of the mutual compatibility of the research ethics in the states of EU. The collective monograph is one of the results of the grant project 'Ethics of Science in the Czech Republic: the state of art and its historical roots' (2008-2010).
