Introduction for the book The Law and the State published in Právník. The book was published to honor the 150 years of existence of this Czech legal journal. Journal Právník is published by the Institute of State and Law and the authors of the individual chapters follow the intention of analyzing Právník as a traditional and important phenomenon within our legal literature.
