Cílem publikace je zmapovat a zhodnotit dějiny obce Cítova, interpretovat životní příběh komunity nedaleko hory Říp v úrodném Polabí. Cítov se nachází na hlavní trase ze Saska do centra Čech, v průběhu staletí tudy procházely různé armády, které přinášely zkázu i osvobození. Na publikaci pracoval tým sestavený z archeologa, historiků, archivářů a dalších odborníků. Je určena zejména pro širokou veřejnost, tak i pro odborníky. Je vybavena rozsáhlým poznámkovým aparátem, bibliografií a cizojazyčným resumé a obrazovými přílohami.


The aim of the publication is to map and evaluate the history of the village of Cítov, to interpret the life story of the community near the Říp mountain in the fertile Polabí region. Cítov is located on the main route from Saxony to the centre of Bohemia, and over the centuries various armies have passed through the area, bringing destruction and liberation. A team of archaeologists, historians, archivists and other experts worked on the publication. It is intended primarily for the general public as well as for specialists. It is equipped with an extensive annotated apparatus, a bibliography and a foreign-language summary and pictorial appendices.
