Studie se zabývá problémem periodizace a historiografie dějin indické filosofie. Analyzuje odlišné historicky vzniklé způsoby periodizace dějin indického myšlení a proměnu metodologie zkoumání jejich dějin. To ústí v analýzu určitých hlubších proměn indologického zkoumání samého a rovněž ve zkoumání recepce indické filosofie v západním myšlení a významu indické filosofie v současném globálním kontextu.

The study deals with the problem of periodization and historiography of the history of Indian philosophy. It analyses the different ways of the periodization of the history of Indian thought that have emerged historically and the changing methodology of researching the history of Indian philosophy. This leads to an analysis of the transformation of certain deeper transformations of indological research itself, as well as an examination of the reception of Indian philosophy in Western thought and the relevance of Indian philosophy in the contemporary global context.
