Text pojednává analogické rysy postavy Medúzy, jak je znázorňována v antické mytologii, a postavy bratrů Menaechmů ve stejnojmenné hře římského komediografa Tita Maccia Plauta, především otázku dvojnictví a šířeji tzv. metafory zrcadlení.
Chapter discusses the common traits of the figure of Medusa as represented in the classical mythology, and of the brother Menaechmi as depicted in the eponymous comedy by Titus Maccius Plautus. The main points of reference are the concept of a doppelgänger and the catoptric metaphor.
