Studie se zaobírá fenoménem emigrace a exilu z Československa v letech 1968 až 1989. Koncentruje se na sociální složení uprchlíků a analyzuje jejich motivaci a reakci komunistického režimu, který tuto formu protestu systematicky kriminalizoval. Studie vychází jak z pramenů komunistické strany, Státní bezpečnosti a exilových periodik, tak z odborné literatury.

This study deals with a phenomenon of exile and emigration from Czechoslovakia between 1968 and 1989. The study analyzes social structure of emigrants and their motivations furthermore it discloses reactions of the communist regime, which systematically criminalized this form of protest. Party documents, opposition exile materials and documents of the State Security were used as primary sources of the study.
