The castle Přerov was the significant stronghold of the Polish rule in the 1st third of the 11th century, then an important administrative and military center of the Přemyslid Moravia. During the several years excavations there was found many objects of material culture, mostly of household-equipment and home-work tools of thie time. The archeozoological and archeobotanical analyses have shown the important share of the autarky in the castle-economy. Written sources inform more about outer supply and specialised craftwork mostly in the suburbs and surounding villages of the Přemyslid´s castles and give us a somewhat one-sided image of their supply.
