Studie pojednává o literárním díle německo-švýcarského humanisty a všestranného učence Sebastiana Münstera, zvláště o významu jeho monumentálního spisu Cosmographia universalis (1550) jakožto nejvlivnější raně novověké syntézy veškerých znalostí o světě 16. století.

The study deals with the literary work of the German-Swiss humanist and universal scholar Sebastian Münster, especially with the importance of his monumental Cosmographia universalis (1550) in the position of the most influential early modern synthesis of the 16th-century knowledgfe of the world.
