Studie se zabývá estetickým myšlením Olega Suse a jeho vnitřní kritikou strukturalismu v pojetí Jana Mukařovského. Mukařovského chápání struktury jako souboru protikladných vztahů mezi prvky směřuje podle Suse k paradoxu: moment sjednocení strukturních vztahů je bodem, který je svou povahou nestrukturní. Autor studie klade otázku, zda můžeme Susovu kritiku Mukařovského interpretovat jako historickou a teoretickou paralelu poststrukturalismu, konkrétně Derridovy kritiky Saussurovy koncepce znaku, nebo ne.

The study deals with Oleg Sus’ aesthetic thought and his immanent critique of Jan Mukařovský’s conception of structuralism. In Oleg Sus’ opinion, Mukařovský’s concept of structure as a set of antinomic relations between elements leads to a paradox: a moment of integration of structural relations is a point which is inherently non-structural. Author of the study asks a question if we may interpret Sus’ critique of Mukařovský’s theory as a historical and theoretical parallel of post-structuralism, speciffically Derrida’s critique of Saussure’s concept of sign, or not.
