A method for the fast and sensitive detection of dicarboxylic acids in atmospheric
aerosols was optimized. The method is based on the online sampling and subsequent
analysis with ion chromatography. The system was applied to the determination of
DCAs in urban aerosols in Brno. The method was verified using a laboratory generated
standard aerosol of DCAs. A sampling of aerosol particles on parallel filter was used
as a reference method.
