Letošní již sedmnáctý ročník Výroční konference České aerosolové společnosti se koná díky iniciativě našich moravských kolegů v Mikulově. S potěšením musím konstatovat, že tato konference je s dvaceti devíti příspěvky historicky největší. Témata zahrnují chování aerosolů ve vnějším i vnitřním prostředí, jejich složení a identifikaci zdrojů, tak i stále populárnější nanočástice.

The 17th Annual Conference of the Czech Aerosol Society took place in a beautiful South-Moravian town Mikulov. The scientific program of the conference consisted of 6 program blocks of talks. Alltogether 27 talks were presented, representing aerosol research performed at 16 different institutions. The talks covered topics such as Source Apportionment, Atmospheric Aerosols, Aerosol Technology, Urban Aerosols, Organic Aerosol Characterization, Aerosol Emissions, Indoor/Outdoor Aerosols, Workplace Aerosols, Combustion Aerosols, Aerosol Filtration, Fibrous Aerosols, Traffic Related Aerosols, Aerosol-Cloud Interactions, Nanoparticle Synthesis by Gas-To-Particle Conversion, Radioactive Aerosols, Elemental Analysis of Aerosol Samples. The conference languages were Czech and English, about one half of presentations were given in English. At the end of the conference the Board of the Czech Aerosol Society evaluated presentations given by young researchers bellow 35 years of age and awarded 3 of them for best presentations. Prizes were given by one of the conference sponsors. The meeting of Czech Aerosol Society took place at the end of the conference programme
