    This dissertation describes development and application of capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detector (C4D) in capillary electrophoresis (CE). Theoretical modelling and numerous real experiments have proven that external C4D in axial arrangement can be routinely applied in CE and resulted in great popularization of C4D and development of commercial C4D detectors for CE.
