    This study was aimed to elucidate how the SHR circadian system develops during ontogenesis. Our findings revealed diverse development and higher sensitivity of the developing circadian clocks of SHR to maternal cues. They suggested that these aberrancies might contribute to the metabolic disease, which SHR spontaneously develop in adulthood
