Článok sprostredkuje, pre čitateľa populárneho slovenského deníku, úvahy o význame revolúcií roku 1989 a špecificky o význame dlho vedenej debaty o tom, či přiniesli revolúcie „nové nápady“ světovému politickému diskurzu. Autor argumentuje, že revolúcie skutočně přiniesli nové nápady, ale že porevolučný vývoj tieto nápady zase umlčel.

The article presents, for the readers of the popular Slovak daily newspaper Pravda, reflections on the meaning of the Central European revolutions of 1989, and in particular of the long-running debate over whether these revolutions brought any “new ideas” to international political discourse. The author argues that the revolutions did indeed bring new ideas, but that these ideas were forgotten in the course of post-revolutionary events.
