Text je věnován jedné z hlavních otázek Kantovy Kritiky soudnosti. Na jedné straně Kant tvrdí, že estetické soudy nejsou podřízeny žádnému pojmu, na druhé straně, v jistých pasážích, připouští, že nějakému pojmu (totiž pojmu 'neurčenému') podřízeny jsou. Autor článku se pokouší tento rozpor v Kantově výkladu vysvětlit.

The essay deals with one of the key problems in Kant's Critique of the Power of Judgement. On the one hand, Kant assumes that the aesthetic judgements are not subsumed to any concept, on the other hand, he asserts that the judgements are subsumed to an indeterminate concept. The essay attempts to resolve this contradiction.
