Jedním z atributů trampingu v českých zemích (a částečně na Slovensku) byla konkrétní hudba a zpěv. Nositelé této subkultury skládali táborákové skladby většinou sami, zpívali ve sboru, s instrumentálním doprovodem při různých příležitostech, především během svých slavností. Táborákové písně byly nejen součástí zábavy těchto lidí, ale také hrály integrující roli v uzavřených skupinách a zvláště během setkání několika trampských společenství, uctění památky apod. Táboráková hudba a písně přispěli také k překonání rozdílů mezi oddaným trampingu a obyvateli vesnic v trampských regionech, např v místních hospodách a dalších společenských místech, kde se obě skupiny hostů setkávaly.

One of the attributes of tramping in the Czech lands (and partly in Slovakia) was specific music and singing. The bearers of this subculture composed the camp-fire songs mostly themselves , sang them in chorus with instrumental accompaniment on various occasions, first of all during their festivities. Camp-fire songs were not only part of entertainment of these people but they also played an integrating role in their closed groups and especially during the encounters of several tramper communities, the potlatches, memorials. The camp-fire music and songs contributed also to overcome differences between the devotees of tramping and the inhabitants of villages in the tramping regions, e.g. in local pubs and other social places where both guest groups met.
