Tycho Brahe, původním jménem Tyge Ottesen Brahe, věhlasný dánský astronom, jenž od roku 1599 působil jako dvorní astronom na dvoře Rudolfa II., zemřel po krátké jedenáctidenní nemoci 24. října 1601 ve věku 54 let a byl pohřben v kostele Matky Boží před Týnem (Týnský chrám) v Praze. Dne 13. října 1601 se Brahe zúčastnil hostiny u Petra Voka z Rožmberka. Podle historických záznamů mnohou číši vína vypil a z důvodu dvorní etikety nebyl močit; později již močit nemohl.

Tycho Brahe, his original name was Tyge Ottesen Brahe, the famous Danish astronomer who in 1599 worked as a court astronomer at the court of Rudolf II., Died after a short eleven-days illness 24th October 1601 at the age of 54 and was buried in the Church Matky Boží před Týnem (Tyn Church) in Prague. On 13 October 1601 Brahe attended the feast of Peter Vok of Rosenberg. According to historical records he drank many glass of wine and because of court etiquette, he did not urinate; later, he could not urinate any more.
