Cílem studie je identifikace dvou latinských zoologických termínů v díle Tomáše z Cantimpré a českého středověkého lexikografa Klareta, jejichž popisy pocházejí podle Tomáše od Aristotela a jejichž původ a význam byly doposud nerozluštěny.
The main purpose of the article is to identify the two Latin zoological terms in the works of Thomas of Cantimpré and the Czech medieval lexicographer Claretus. Their description is according to Thomas derived from Aristotle and their origin and meaning has remained unclear up to now.
