    A new mathematical description of intracellular and t-tubular Ca2+ handling in a model of rat cardiac ventricular myocyte is presented. The model was used to provide a more precise view of the effect of ion concentration changes in t-tubules on electrophysiological activity of rat ventricular cardiomyocytes.
