The aim was to examine the influence of pressure owerload imposed by aortic constriction early after birth on phospholipid composition in rat left ventricular myocardium. The workload inhibited the normal postnatal increase of phospholipid concentration while further potentiating the accumulation of n-3 PUFA as an adaptive response of the developing myocardium to accelerated growth
