Dopisy zachované ve fondu B. Raýmana v Literárním archivu Památníku národního písemnictví dokládají bohaté kontakty tohoto českého chemika s předními evropskými a mimoevropskými vědci: s německými chemiky F.A. Kekulé a E. Fischerem, s francouzskými chemiky C. Friedelem a C. Wurtzem a s indickým chemikem Agornathem Chattopadhyaya a mnoha dalšími. Dopisy některých českých intelektuálů, kupř. J. Vrchlického nebo K. Světlé ukazují Raýmanovu spjatost s českým kulturním prostředím. Tato korespondence i jiné doklady poskytují nové poznatky k dějinám české vědy i k jejím mezinárodním kontaktům na rozhraní 19. a 20. stol.

Letters kept among the papers of the Czech chemist B. Raýman in the Literary Archive of the Museum of Czech Literature indicate the rich contacts of Raýman with foremost European and non-European scholars: the German chemists F.A. Kekulé and E. Fischer, the French chemists C. Friedel and C. Wurtz, the Indian chemist Agornath Chattopadhyaya and many others. The letters of some Czech intellectuals, like the writers J. Vrchlický and K. Světlá, show Raýman’s connections with the Czech cultural environment. This correspondence and other documents offer new knowledge related to the history of Czech science and also its international contacts at the turn of the 19th century.
