Analýza českého výtvarného umění 1939-1945 z hlediska světa, v němž na první pohled jako by bylo vše "normální", ale pod touto slupkou je cosi hrozivého a zlověstného. "Unheimlich" (Freud) charakter některých děl je ukázán na fotografiích Josefa Sudka, Miroslava Háka, Karla Ludwiga a autorských knihách Jiřího Severa. Je sledována přitažlivost obyčejných věcí a předmětů (Karel Černý, Alois Wachsman) a zvěcnění figur (Bohumír Matal).

An analysis of Czech visual art 1939-1945 from the point of view of the world, in which at first glance is all "normal", however under this peel there is something frightening and sinister. On the photographs of Josef Sudek, Miroslav Hák, Karel Ludwig and authorship-books by Jiří Sever the Freud´s notion "unheimliche" (uncanny) is demonstrated. The attraction of common and everyday things and objects is studied (Karel Černý, Alois Wachsman) as well as objectiveness of figures in paintings of František Gross or Bohumír Matal.
