First measurements of the $W/rightarrow l/nu$ and $Z//gamma^*/rightarrow ll(l=e,/mu)$$ production cross sections in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV are presented using data recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC.
