The study deals with the application and function of the Trinitarian tenet of one Divine nature in three really different persons in the context of the philosophical treatise on universal concepts and their ontological foundation in the Cursus philosophicus of two Baroque collaborating Scotists, who are Bartholomew Mastrius and Bonaventure Belluti. The Trinitarian doctrine is exposed in two opposing functions, namely in the contrastive and illustrative function.
