    The chapter No. 7 deals with the selected phenomena associated with socio-demographic change in four studied cities (Lódź, Gdańsk, Brno and Ostrava) and their inner cities. The attention is especially paid to the detail analyses of the following issues: population decline and ageing, increasing diversity and heterogeneity of the households, gentrification and displacement, ethnic diversification, social segregation and ethnic exclusion.
