Za jistých podmínek mohou některé defekty růst a postupně zkracovat zbytkovou životnost plynovodu. Za pomoci lomové mechaniky můžeme posoudit nebezpečí, které posuzované defekty znamenají pro bezpečný provoz.
On the basis of long-term research into the structural integrity of high pressure gas pipelines and of the use of the theoretical and experimental result obtained, the authors have prepared a simple engineering method for assessing the integrity of cylindrical shells.
