Studie se zabývá působením organického chemika a významného organizátora vědecké práce Bohuslava Raýmana (1852-1910) v České akademii věd a umění (ČAVU). Raýman byl od roku 1890 řádným členem ČAVU, v letech 1890-1899 tajemníkem její II. třídy a v letech 1899-1910 generálním sekretářem této instituce. Patřil mezi její nejvýznamnější představitele.

The study deals with activities of the organic chemist Bohuslav Raýman (1852-1910) in the leading Czech research institute, the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts (CASA). Raýman became a member of the CASA Second Class in October 1890. That same year he was elected Secretary of this class, remaining in that position until 1899, when he became CASA General Secretary. He performed this function up until his death in 1910. Raýman was one of the most important representatives of the CASA.
