The title compound, 2-(2-methoxyphenyl)-benzo[b]furan, C15H12O2, crystallizes in orthorhombic space group with one molecule in the asymmetric unit. The molecules are linked via weak hydrogen bonds between methyl in methoxy group and oxygen atom in benzofuran ring. Another weak interaction presented in the crystals is the face-to-edge C-H...π interactions between the 2-methoxyphenyl rings.
