    In a set of 20 samples, pathological biomineralization of altered aortic valves was proved to be characterized - from the viewpoint of inorganic chemistry - by multistage formation of a mass of hydroxylapatite to a lesser degree by fluorapatite and hydroxyfluorapatite.
