Three Early Medieval strongholds closely connected with members of the Přemyslid dynasty represent key archaeological sites for an understanding the processes of Early state formation. Major horizons in the development of each site can be determined by applying the sample method based on analyses of sites' fundamental stratigraphies and connected with absolute chronological dates. The determination of the earliest development stages of these centers and the study of material culture enable us to characterize trends in the development of Early Medieval society from the viewpoint of the functions and organization of the ruling power buttresses, social stratification, Christianization process, transformations of economy, production processes, and regional and supraregional contacts. The chronology of the observed sites allows us to synchronize the stages of their development. We can observe in archaeological sources the process of the emergence and rebuilding of the state.
