Přítomná studie sestává ze čtyř oddílů. První z nich se otevírá stručnou historií pojmu autentický a specifickým vymezením tohoto konceptu ve vztahu k současné literatuře. V druhém oddílu studie odhaluje aspekty, v nichž se psaní Terezy Boučkové prezentuje/je prezentováno jako "autentické". Třetí oddíl zkoumá zplsob, jakým postavy a zapuštěné novinářské texty v románu Rok kohouta (2008) interagují se svými emblematickými protějšky. Čtvrtý oddíl přináší závěry, odhaluje, že postavy a novinářské texty v uvedeném románu prezentují emocionální "palimpsesty" veřejně sdílených emblémů, a dále zdůrazňuje skutečnost, že tento postup má reálný dopad na podobu příslušných emblémů v aktuálním světě.

The current study consists of four parts. It opens woth a brief survey of the term authentic and specific delimitation of the concept with regard to the contemporary literature. In the second part, the study shows the mode of the writing of Tereza Boučková which presents itself/is presented as "authentic". The third part examines the ways in which the characters and embedded journalistic texts in the novel The Year of the Rooster (Rok kohouta, 2008) interact with their emblematic counterparts. The fourth part brings a conclusion, stating that the characters and journalistic texts in the novel present an emotional "over-writing" of the publicly shared emblems - a practice which paradoxically does have its effect on the emblems themselves.
