První publikace mapující sepulkrální skulptury z období vlády jagellonské dynastie, jež je jedním z vrcholných bodů dějin českého umění, přispívá k ucelení představy o výtvarné kultuře této doby výzkumem specifické sochařské sféry z pohledu uměleckohistorického a epigrafického. I když se konvolut studovaných děl dochoval jen v torzálním stavu, jsou i jednotlivé práce svědectvím o sociálním postavení objednavatele, jeho náboženském zakotvení, kulturní úrovni i výtvarném cítění a také o jazykovém úzu této historické periody. Text obsahuje uměleckohistorickou a epigrafickou studii a podrobný katalog všech dochovaných děl.

The monograph is devoted to the figurative tomb sculpture of the period of the Jagiellonian dynasty. The text researches this specific sculptural sphere from the art-historical and epigraphic point of view. These works of art are very important testimony about social status of a patron, his religious affiliation, cultural level, his artistic feeling and also about linguistic custom of this historical period. The second part forms a comprehensive catalogue of all preserved works.
