Turbulent flows over rough walls are numerically modelled by solving averaged Navier-Stokes equations with two-equation SST or EARSM turbulence models. Boundary conditions for the k-omega system of transport equations are prescribed directly on the wall. The numerical solution is obtained by means of implicit upwind finite volume schemes. The AUSM upwind method is used for inviscid fluxes in the compressible case and the artificial compressibility method with an upwind method similar to the AUSM scheme is used for the incompressible case. The agreement of numerical results for incompressible constant-pressure boundary-layer flow, incompressible flow over a ramp with flow separation and compressible flow through a turbine blade cascade is quite good for both used turbulence models.
