From the primary density data the corresponding values of excess volumes were calculated and fitted to a modified Redlich-Kister equation. Comparison of excess volumes for the two investigated ternary systems at temperature 298.15 K is depicted in Figure 1. It is clearly observed that binary systems (ethanol + isooctane) and (toluene + isooctane) show positive deviations from ideality, whereas binary systems (toluene + 1-butanol), (isooctane + 1-butanol) and (ethanol + toluene) possess S-shaped character. There is a pronounced temperature dependence of excess volumes in the studied systems, which will be discussed in detail.
