The mechanisms of the collisions of solid particles with solid boundaries and other particles in a multi-phase flows are extremely interesting. The motion of particles in fluid near solid walls results in the particle-wall collisions and the sequent particle rotation. The sphere rotation in fluid generates the secondary flow: the fluid passes the sphere surface from the poles to the equator and breaks away under the action of the centrifugal force. It is shown that the secondary flow influences the restitution coefficient in the case of the sphere collision with a solid wall. The larger angular velocity immediately before the collision corresponds to the smaller value of the restitution coefficient.
