Výskyt strupovitosti hlíz je nejvíce ovlivněn půdními podmínkami a náchylností odrůdy k tomuto onemocnění. Výběr plochy pro pěstování brambor, podpora rozvoje antagonistů patogenů (organické hnojení) a pěstování odolných odrůd patří zatím k nejúčinnějším opatřením v boji proti obecné strupovitosti.

The incidence of scab tubers is mostly influenced by soil conditions varieties and susceptibility to this disease. Selection of potato-growing areas, support the development of antagonists of pathogens (organic fertilization) and the cultivation of resistant varieties is still the most effective measure in the fight against common scab.
