Studie je zaměřena na analýzu jednoho z nejkomplexnějších antických pramenů - Pausaniovu Cestu po Řecku, jako folklorní pramen. Většina folklorních dat je zařazena podle typů útvarů slovesného folkloru. Pramen obsahuje velké množství pověstí a legend, malých folklorních útvarů a také řadu syžetů známých později jako pohádky.

The study is focused to one of the most complex Ancient sources - Pausanias´ Description of Greece as folklore resource. The great quantity of folklore data in this book is compartmentalized according to the types of literary folklore forms. The source contains a great number of tales and legends, small folklore forms and also many topics known from later fairy tales.
