Kapitola se zabývá vývojem historiografie KSČ v první polovině 50. let. Věnuje se institucionální a sociální základně této historiografie, její odborné tvorbě, aktivitám v oblasti politiky paměti a snahám o kontrolu soudobého historiografického diskurzu.

The monograph chapter charts out the development of the historiography of the Czechoslovak Communist Party in the first half of the 1950s. It focuses on the institutional and social basis of this historiography, the actual writing, activities in the area of the policy of shaping and manipulating memory, and efforts to control recent historiographical discourse.
