Kapitola vysvětluje postoj české veřejnosti ke slovenskému státu vzniklému 14. března 1939. Dokládá původně negativní postoje, ale již na podzim 1939 byli Češi ochotni existenci tohoto státu akceptovat.
The chapter explains the attitude of the Czech public toward the Slovak state which was founded on 14 March 1939. It shows how the attitude was originally negative but already in the Autumn of 1939 Czechs were ready to accept it’s existence.
