K narušování základní funkce vlastního jména v literatuře, tedy funkce identifikační, dochází v několika typech případů. Prvním z nich je situace, kdy postava nemá jméno, nebo má naopak jmen několik, popř. když je několik postav pojmenováno velice podobně a zaměnitelně, či dokonce stejně. Dalším je celková pojmenovávací situace, konkrétně případy, kdy postavy vymýšlejí, mění či skrývají svá vlastní jména. K poslednímu případu narušování identifikační funkce dochází kvůli postoji postavy k jejímu vlastnímu jménu, jehož je ochotna se sama vzdát.

My paper is focused on a few particular situations of voluntary erosion of the identification (Identifizierung) function of a literary person’s name. The first situation involves the way of naming of the character – the character without a name, with more than one name and similar or the same names for more characters. The second is a situation when a name is given to the character in the course of the story in front of the reader’s eyes or when the name of the character is changed or camouflaged. Finally, the erosion of the identification function is caused by the character her/himself because of her/his relation to own name.
