The laboratory for orienting of single crystals of the Institute of Physics, ASCR is presented. The laboratory checks and orients single crystals of various compounds delivered by other departments of the institute. The methods (Laue, in some cases precession) are described, and some examples of X-ray images of crystal studied are presented. Some problems (crystal surfaces, quality, pseudosymmetry etc.) are discussed.
