Peptid s lepivými vlastnostmi, který obsahuje alespoň tři opakování sekvence 15 aminokyselin nazvané SERIC 2. Tato sekvence byla odvozena od adhezivního motivu proteinu nazvaného sericin 2, který je produktem genu Ser2 bource morušového (Bombyx mori).
The present invention relates to identification of amino acid sequence of sericin 2A that works as a glue. The present invention also pertains to recombinant proteins or peptide compositions comprising similar sequences and to their use as adhesives.
