Zdeněk Wirth byl jednou z nejvlivnějších osobností české kulturní historie první poloviny 20. století. Významným způsobem zasáhl do domácího uměleckohistorického oboru, stal se jedním z nejaktivnějších propagátorů architektonické moderny v českém prostředí a díky němu byl také výrazně posílen význam spolkové i státní památkové péče. Text příspěvku shrnuje význam jeho osobnosti.

Zdeněk Wirth was one of the most influential figures in Czech cultural history in the first half of the 20th century. He had a major impact on the Czech art history field, he became one of the most active promoters of modern architecture in the Czech milieu, and it was also thanks to him that the importance of monument conservation by both the state and associations increased considerably. The paper summarizes the importance of this person.
