This article indentifies, for the first time, a NF449 compound as a novel inhibitor of FGFR3 signal transduction in vitro and in vivo. Various molecular aspects of NF449 action are described and discussed in the article, such as its effects on FGFR3 kinase activity, activation of downstream signaling molecules as well as effects on several cellular phenotypes regulated by FGFR3 signaling.
