Článek pojednává o způsobech, jakými se český foném /r/ kombinuje s ostatními fonémy v případě, že funguje jako slabičné jádro. Dokazuje, že kombinační schopnosti slabičného /r/ jsou podstatně jiné než schopnosti (slabičných) vokálů, jelikož se /r/ může pojit s méně konsonanty a konsonantickými kombinacemi.

The paper deals with the ways Czech phoneme /r/ combines with other phonemes when it functions as the syllable nucleus. It is demonstrated that the combinational capacities of the syllabic /r/ are considerably different to those of the (syllabic) vowels, because /r/ can co-occur with fewer consonants and/or their combinations.
