Ledové útvary vznikající na hladinových ledech vodotečí a nádrží v ČR jsou mimořádně rozmanité a mnohé z nich nebyly detailně studovány morfologicky ani geneticky. Kniha představuje přehled řady především drobných forem a navrhuje testovatelné hypotézy jejich vzniku.
Ice forms originating on water (brook, river and reservoir/pond) surfaces are extremely diverse. Being difficult for a safe access, many of them have not been described and interpreted yet. The book brings a survey of dozens of forms in cm to m scales; most of the forms have given also a tentative, testable hypothesis of their origin.
